With over 27 years of licensing experience in the kids media and entertainment, Marie-Laure Marchand is Senior Vice President, Business Development & Global Consumer Products at Chefclub, a French digital cooking brand founded in 2016 by brothers Thomas, Jonathan and Axel Lang. With more than 1 billion organic views every month and 80 million followers, Chefclub is the fastest growing global brand on social media.

Marie-Laure began her career in international TV distribution at Toronto-based Nelvana, after which she set up its EMEA Consumer Products Division in Paris. As SVP of EMEA Consumer Product and Marketing of Nelvana’s European Operations, she elevated and extended renowned brands such as Babar, Franklin and Beyblade across all platforms, launching the very first Beyblade licensing program in Europe (best Selling Toys); boosting the success of Franklin in Europe (Best Selling books and one of the top five Best Preschool Properties in France); and expanding Babar licensing initiatives across Europe.

More recently Marchand has held a number of key positions at: Brand Loyalty, a specialist in loyalty and promotion in food retail where she was in charge of licensing in global kids properties; SVP, International Licensing at Studio 100, where she set up the company’s international licensing division in its Paris studio successfully launching classic brands such as Maya the Bee, Heidi and Vic the Viking; and SVP Global Consumer Products and Media Distribution at leading French animation studio Xilam.
