Shaan Akbar is a digital executive and consultant who has spent the past 6 years scaling games businesses for the world's largest media companies. Most recently, he led Games Publishing at NBCUniversal, where he delivered and executed a strategy to build a vertical games operation leveraging brands like Jurassic World and Fast & Furious. Previously, at Disney, he doubled the run-rate on a portfolio of digital Star Wars games to gross $100mm+ during his tenure.
He now brings his D2C and brand expertise to clients, advising them on acquiring, scaling, and optimizing digital businesses. His clients range from financial sponsors to growth stage ventures.
Shaan's early career has spanned strategy/planning roles at Merrill Lynch and Disney. He received a joint MBA/MA from the University of Chicago and a Bachelor’s degree from Rutgers University.
